Qiao Yin, who was on the other side of the phone, seemed stunned before responding, "Yes, it's me."

"Ask you something." Xiao Yang went straight to the point. "Did Chen Wen work at your law firm before?"
"You mean the one who died last month? Yes, he was a lawyer at our firm."
"Mmm." He responded simply, and continued asking, "When was the last time you contacted his son, Chen Hao Xiang?"
She recalled for a while, "I think it was two days ago. What happen?"

"It's nothing." He replied coldly, then he regained his position as the one asking the questions. "I remember Chen Wen was sentenced for perjury. How did the case he was working on ended?"

"His client was sentenced to death and executed immediately." Qiao Yin said concisely. Before he said anything, she added, "I can't remember the full details. This case was from four years ago. If you need more details, I can go to the law firm to get it for you."

"No need. I will send someone to go and collect it if I need it." Xiao Yang caught a glimpse of Yan Cong striding in, he finished the call ahead of schedule. "I shall hang up now, you should continue to busy with your things." After he hung up the call, he put his phone back into his pocket. He looked at Yang Cong who was walking towards him and asked, "How was it?"

"Chen Hao Xiang is not at home. He withdrew all the money from his bank account early this morning." Yan Cong frowned as he stopped in front of him, "Little Lu's men found a b.l.o.o.d.y spring knife under his bed. I felt that this is so strange. He had done so well to cover up his evidence, it's impossible for him to leave such a piece of clear evidence at home before running away."

At this moment, Qiao Yin took a look at her handphone after she had hung up. After that, she put the cleaned dishes and chopsticks into the cupboard. She wiped her hands and looked out of the kitchen, asking Shen Yan Fang who was in the living room. "Mom, are you going back now?"After she wiped her hands, she removed the ap.r.o.n and walked out of the kitchen. "I am thinking of going to the law firm. I can drive you back before that."

Shen Yanfang had nothing else to do, and naturally, she was happy to have someone drive her home.

Qiao Yin drove Shen Yan Fang home and then went to the law firm. Their law firm often had people working overtime on the weekend. Today was no exception. Qiao Yin first greeted her colleagues and then went straight to the workshop where all the files were stored to start looking for the files related to the case from that year.

Before she could find it, she heard someone knocking on the door. She turned her head and looked. It was Lawyer Zhang, a lawyer at the firm.

"Chief Qiao." He nodded to her, pointing to the reception room at the law firm, with a look of frustration. "There's a man that wants to hire an attorney, but he must first speak to the boss. Today Chief Lu is not feeling well and he didn't come. Why not u go first?"

This law firm was founded by Qiao Yin and two other lawyers. In the first two years of operation, they managed to hire a few established lawyers, and their reputation was slowly built up since then. The three of them had not been idle for all these years. They tried to do everything as much as possible, big or small, they do it themselves, and they had taken on many cases.

"Okay, I'll be right there." Qiao Yin nodded and looked at the file in her hand. She could only ask Lawyer Zhang to help her. "Are you busy now? Can you help me to find a case file? The last case that Chen Wen represented four years ago. After you found it, put it on my desk."

Lawyer Zhang agreed, and Qiao thanked him and rushed to the reception room.
Waiting in the reception room was a man who looked almost thirty years old. He was wearing gold-framed gla.s.ses, and a suit, and he looked refined and cultured. Qiao Yin stepped forward with a smile and shook his hand, "h.e.l.lo, I'm the owner of this firm, Qiao Yin."

"h.e.l.lo, Miss Qiao. My name is Li Zhong Cheng." After he shook her hand, the man took out his business card from his jacket pocket and handed it to her with a smile on his face. "It's like this. I wish to hire you to help me with a lawsuit. However, the case is a little complicated, so I want to talk to you directly."

Qiao Yin received his business card and nodded in understanding. She stepped aside to invite him, "Please come to my office first. Let's understand the situation first before we go into detail."

"Okay." Li Zhong Cheng started walking. After just two steps of walking, he suddenly stopped. He reached his hands to cover his stomach. His brows frowned in pain and his face turned pale. Qiao Yin noticed that there was something wrong with him, she hurried forward, "What's wrong? Are you feeling sick?"

He pursed up his lips, raised his head and holding a smile, "I'm sorry. I came in a hurry. I haven't eaten anything in the morning or noon. I'm feeling a little sick in the stomach."

After listening to his explanation, Qiao Yin was slightly relieved. She said in an apologetic tone, "It's inconsiderate of me. Mr. Li, what do you feel like eating? There are restaurants nearby, we can go have some food first. You cannot go hungry." "I'm so sorry for delaying your time." Li Zhong Cheng apologized with a pale face. He raised his hand and looked at the time shown on his watch. "You should go do your things first. When I came here just now, I saw a Thai restaurant nearby. I will go eat something first before come and find you."

Qiao Yin felt worried seeing him so weak. "Do you mean Tai Hao Shi? It's a little far away, I'll drive you there. Now is peak hour, and it's not convenient to get a car."

Without further refusal, Li Zhong Cheng nodded in agreement.

Qiao Yin took her bag and left with him. Before she left, she remembered something and told Lawyer Zhang who was still looking for the case file, "Lawyer Zhang, Mr. Li did not have his meal, I will bring him to Tai Hao Shi for a meal. After you find the case file, remember to put it on my desk. Sorry for troubling you."

"Okay, okay. Drive safely."

When she drove out of Xie Zi building's carpark, Xiao Yang who had just walked out of the law court, also received a call from Yan Cong.

"Li Cheng wasn't home, but we found newspaper clippings about Chen Wen's case in his apartment." Yang Cong said to him on the other side of the phone, "He cut out all the stories related to the case and stick it to the wall. He also used a red pen to ring out the place where his brother, Li Jian Hui, was mentioned." He paused for a moment and continued, "Compared to the writing about Chen Wen, it's a pitiful amount."

"That's why he killed the journalists and newspaper editors." Xiao Yang walked down the steps and walked quickly to the police car. He opened the car door and entered the car. "The media focused on Chen Wen, who was imprisoned for perjury by a lawyer and died in prison. They wanted to expose the vicious consequences of the judge's abuse of the lawyer's perjury. However, they forgot to pay attention to the case against Chen Wen's attorney. That year, Li Jian Hui was sentenced to death and was executed immediately. It had already dealt a huge blow to Li Cheng. Now that he has the opportunity to clear Li Jian Hui's innocence, the public's attention was affected by the media's influence and focus on Chen Wen again."

"So Li Cheng decided to avenge his brother himself?" Yan Cong gave it a thought and said, "He did not take his clothes and cash, he should not have gone far. It's supposed to be working hours, and no one was in the company. He already killed the presiding judge and Chen Wen's son, where else can he go?"

"Handing over Li Jian Hui's case to Chen Wen did not help Li Jian Hui. In the end, it also caused him to lose his chance to redress his grievances after his death, who was the culprit." Started his police car, Xiao Yang turned his car head, stepped on the accelerator and drove to the center of the city. Holding his mobile phone in hand and calmly concluded, "Go to the law firm that Chen Wen worked in. He's going to kill the boss of the firm."
