Yume No KuniYume No Kuni Chapter 4

[DREAMLAND]CHAPTER FOUR: FERRIS WHEEL

When I noticed it, it was already before dawn.

In that dim light, the Ferris wheel silently revolves.

In that place, a living human and one that had died stood.

[&h.e.l.lip;&h.e.l.lip; Thank you for staying with me until the end]

[Is it over already?]

[Un&h.e.l.lip;]

(TL: Yup, or Yes&h.e.l.lip; Whatever pulls your hair)

Seeing the lonely expression on Tomoe’s face, I knew those words weren’t lies.

I felt a sharp pain in my heart.

If only, I would like to stay with you for a little while longer.

[&h.e.l.lip;&h.e.l.lip; Tomoe]

[What is it?] (TL: Na a ni?)

[I love you. Even if I die, that won’t change.] (TL: Daisuki da yo. Shinde demo, kawarazu ni)

As I said so, Tomoe laughed and leaned towards me.

That hand which I held was so warm that it was unbelievable to think that it was from someone who’s already dead.

(TL: This&h.e.l.lip; The phrasing was awkward in English thus I changed it quite a bit rather than from the narrative&h.e.l.lip; 繋いだ手は、死者だとは信じられない程に今はちゃんと暖かい。)

That is somewhat regretful.

Even though it is so warm, she was already dead.

I can never be with you.

Then, is this a dream, or is it an illusion?

While looking at the sky which had gradually gone brighter, we’ve nestled to each other closely without talking.

[&h.e.l.lip;&h.e.l.lip; I also love you] (TL: &h.e.l.lip;&h.e.l.lip; watashi mo daisukida yo)

And then, the night had dawned.

The Ferris wheel stopped moving, and inside it no one was there anymore.

All of the amus.e.m.e.nt parks had also stopped working, leaving only abandoned building and equipment.
